Keeping your children safe

At Kalamazoo we know that your students are your number one priority. That is why we developed the Kalamazoo school visitor pass system which is a quick and easy way to register visitors to your school.

This gives peace of mind not only to you, but also to the children and parents at the school who know that visitors can now be clearly identified and anyone who is not recognised and who does not have a pass should be reported.

Kalamazoo's school visitor systems have been proven over years of use. We offer essentially two systems

1. The school visitor Pass system (10 sets of 25 passes per book)
2. The Late/Leave Pass register (10 sets of 25 passes per book)

The School Visitor Pass System

The visitor pass system is a set of passes which are 333 x 283mm (1311) in size and consists of 25 overlapped passes with each run of passes registering with a Visitor Register summary.  The Passes and Summary are interleaved with a Security Sheet, which enables complete confidentiality of entries.

How it works

The sign-in process takes only a couple of moments.

Step 1: On arrival, the visitor fills out the various fields on the Visitor pass.

Step 2: The visitor or receptionist can then rip off the pass and place it in a clear plastic, clip-on holder that may be worn by the Visitor.

Step 3: On leaving, the Visitor will return the pass and holder to security/reception when the time out column is completed.

The passes are produced on carbonless paper, so that the register is automatically compiled as the visitor completes the pass. The security sheet also ensures that your visitors cannot see who has previously visited your premises.

Passes can be designed to meet individual customer needs and can be printed both front and back. Additional Details that can be included include:

• School Emblem
• School details
• Building safety & evacuation procedures
• Site Maps
• Prohibited items such as cigarettes, mobiles or cameras

Other enhancements available include:

• Customisable & additional input fields
• Different coloured passes, to denote different gates of entry or days of the week.

The Late/Leave Pass register

The late/leave pass register enables your school to track and monitor late students around your school

Available additional security features for your personalised passes:

• Copy Void
  A unique pattern is printed on the paper that if photocopied, the word ‘void’ appears on the copy.
• UV fluorescing Inks
  The ink may only be seen under a UV lamp and is not visible under normal light.
• Fugitive & Solvent Sensitive Inks
  The ink reacts to organic solvents, providing a visual alert that tampering may have occurred.
• Thermochromic Inks
  Inks that change colour or disappear when heat is applied.
• Artificial Watermark
  A printed watermark that cannot be duplicated by scanners or copiers.
• Fine Line Security Pattern
  Used in the background of a cheque in a subtle ink colour.
• Custom Micro Printing
  Miniature type that can only be read when magnified and cannot be duplicated by a copier.
• Warning Bands
  To state to the person viewing the document that the cheque is protected, thus curbing possible forgery attempts before they start.
• Vignettes
  Creates a fading effect of dark to light. Used with subtle colours and extremely difficult to scan.
• Sequential Numbering
  Gives a product a clear audit trail that helps identification of any fraudulent copies .
